Summary Overview of Responsibilities:


Drive the successful implementation of projects as defined in the ADP Operations' Project Portfolio. Successful implementation is measured in terms of quality, scope, schedule, cost, and stakeholder satisfaction.

This means leading the cross-functional project team through the initiation and planning phases (proposal and concept & planning) and then monitoring, controlling and driving problem resolution and success of project along the subsequent phases of the project lifecycle (construction, acceptance and transition) in line with the Amadeus / PMI Project Management methodology and best practices.


Major Responsibilities:


Monitor and control project along the full project lifecycle in line with Amadeus / PMI Project Management methodology and best practices, in particular:


  • Drive project life cycle from initiation to production and lessons learned for each of the projects.
  • Ensure excellent coordination / communication between all stakeholders in all branches of the Amadeus organization.
  • Ensure excellent cross-functional and cross-site coordination as necessary for specific projects.
  • Ensure that project priorities remain aligned with the business priorities as defined by the project justification.
  • Ensure project deliverables are delivered to the quality and schedule committed as per project management plan.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of time spent through application of ABC activity reporting and in communication of guidelines for time reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and effective communication and reporting of key project parameters to all project stakeholders
  • Ensure stringent follow up on sizings, customer agreements, planning, and overall budget status


Drive problem resolution and success (measured by schedule, cost, scope, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction) of project along the full project lifecycle in line with Amadeus / PMI Project Management methodology and best practices.



  • Qualification (School, university, equivalent, etc.):

    • University degree in IT Engineering or related technical field


    2. Know How / Skills:


    • High IT-affinity in general, i.e. ability to quickly gain top-level understanding and interact with various subject matter experts
    • In-depth knowledge of project management, including PMP or equivalent certification
    • Strong interpersonal skills, tenacity and ability to drive results in a complex, multicultural environment and at different hierarchical levels
    • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including MS Project
    • Team player, self-motivated and ability to work independently and pro-actively
    • High organizational, analytical and conceptual skills
    • Excellent management and leadership skills applied to a ‘weak matrix’ organization

    3. Relevant Job Experience:


    • Minimum 4 years of work experience in a technical area
    • Minimum 4  years of Project Management experience
    • Overall 6 to 8 years experience with a good understanding of Airline, Rail, Hotel, and Travel IT
    • Documented track record of successful completion of sufficiently complex, customer related projects
