  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and selection process for positions at various levels across all departments
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR leads to understand the specific hiring needs, build corresponding sourcing strategy and ensure compelling job profiles
  • Proactively develop and cultivate relationships with key potential candidates and maintain talent pools for various key positions and geographic areas to reduce sourcing times on future searches 
  • Proactively apply new ideas for innovative sourcing strategies and techniques and drive best practice interviewing and assessment techniques to select top talent
  • Manage portfolio of external vendors, eg search agencies to drive strong results and manage cost of hiring.
  • Leads a small team of talent acquisition specialists within Leica Microsystems and utilize further resources from the Danaher (parent company) talent acquisition model.
  • Ensure a great candidate experience from first contact to the new joiner period, collaborating with internal stakeholders.

and on a global level….

  • Develop and implement best practice talent acquisition processes globally, including social media activities, interviewing skills, KPIs and visual management
  • Develop and manage the LMS employer brand, including our career website to attract a strong pipeline of diverse talent
  • Facilitate and support our executive hiring demands in strong collaboration with HR leads and hiring managers
  • Effectively leverage and collaborate within the Danaher (parent company) talent acquisition model
  • Globally ensure strong hiring manager satisfaction through ensuring strong and proactive recruiting service, talent pipeline building, excellent communication and process management throughout the full recruiting cycle.
  • Analyse and manage our global talent acquisition KPIs and reporting, ensures accurate use of our talent acquisition system (Taleo, Workday).


  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ year’s equivalent experience
  • 5 + years of advanced sourcing experience, including proven experience developing and executing innovative search techniques, name/lead generation, internet searches, social media and other tools to identify relevant prospects
  • 5+ year’s full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within the life science, medical devices, engineering, complex technology or similar industries.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery against challenging time-to-fill targets
  • Experience in building employer brand utilizing social media, life sciences/medical device specific avenues based on excellent communication skills
  • Manages a blend of internal and external sourcing channels with strong knowledge and experience of internet research skills
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized with ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Knowledge of basic employment law, eg data privacy regulations
  • German and fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Other languages a plus
