In this high exposure leadership role within the Hach sales organization, you will manage our multi-million sales business in North Western Germany. You are responsible for developing and maintaining a professional sales organization capable of achieving maximum sales volume, profitability, market penetration and dominance. You will also give input to strategic planning efforts for sales including organization and people.
You will lead a team of 18 staff, including 3 team leaders. As part of the cross-country leadership team, you will directly report to the Senior Director Sales & Service Mid/Central/Eastern Europe. Preferably, you are based in, or willing to move to, North Western Germany.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all assigned sales associates in the region (approx. 18).

  • Develop goals and objectives that are in line with company goals and objectives. 

  • Plan, approve, monitor, and meet the annual Hach country/region sales plan and budget.

  • Manage projects and major sales opportunities. Review, assign resources, monitor progress, meet agreed upon due dates and budgets of the Germany North West Sales Operations.

  • Drive a digital change agenda that moves the business from traditionally hardware only to increasingly complementary software and service.

  • Ensure a good working environment.

  • Communicate plans, initiatives and performance regularly and effectively.

  • Stay on top of industry trends and new technologies.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.


Your profile:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree with preference given to majors in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science. Alternatively, a business degree with experience in a technical and/or software influenced B2B sales environment.

  • Minimum 5 years of solid, progressive sales experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of sales management experience. 

  • Formal sales training with exposure to value selling concepts strongly preferred.

  • Process orientation with a proven track record of profitable growth and an excellent reputation for leadership in value-based selling processes and account management

  • Strategic and tactical capabilities to analyze markets, competitors and company strengths and weaknesses while devising winning sales strategies 

  • Excellent analytical skills and solid business acumen with ability to balance the needs of the market place with sound business judgment.

  • Ability and willingness to jointly strive and make a difference.
