Position Summary:

The Senior Corporate Attorney (m/f) is responsible for supporting a variety of projects and initiatives in EMEA with a focus on the DACH and Southern Europe markets. Prepare, analyze and counsel on a wide range of commercial agreements and matters, including global channel programs, technology licensing, sales and marketing support, engineering and IP protection support, as well as regulatory matters, including projects related to international corporate structure, compliance and governance. Duties include contract drafting, review, and daily interaction with the company’s sales, operations and finance groups.

Provide pragmatic, collaborative and solution-oriented legal support throughout the company. As a self-starting, experienced communicator and problem-solver, the Senior Corporate Attorney must be able to prioritize effectively and drive issues to resolution within a team environment focused on growth, execution and process improvement.


What will you do:

  • Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate wide variety of commercial contracts.
  • Seamlessly collaborate cross-functionally with the company’s global sales, operations, engineering, information technology, human resources, marketing, and finance groups to understand and ensure consistency of agreement terms with the company’s business, financial and risk management objectives.
  • Advise internal clients regarding legal and business issues, including identifying, managing and communicating risks and opportunities associated with specific agreements and business objectives and initiatives.
  • Proactively communicate with legal team; provide diligence/insight into the company’s existing corporate agreements and identify / propose solutions to any localization issues.
  • Consistently anticipate, communicate, provide timely evaluation and guidance of, and propose mitigation strategies for and advise management of potential risks in contractual, regulatory, compliance, financial and legal areas.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the company’s sales, marketing, engineering and operations groups to understand and ensure consistency of agreement terms with the company’s business, financial and risk management objectives.


Who you are…  

  • You have 8+ years’ experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and analysing commercial agreements for international clients.
  • You have passed your Bar Admission (Staats Examen) and are in good standing.
  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator in German and English. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • You have a proven ability to manage communications in various time-zones and confidence in making independent decisions.
  • You are well-organized, detail-oriented and adept in a fast paced environment.
  • You have a developed business acumen, with ability to understand the company’s business and anticipate the nature and magnitude of issues that could arise in various settings.
  • Ideally you have law firm as well as in-house experience with a technology firm.  In-house experience supporting quota-carrying, enterprise-level sales teams strongly preferred.
