Working home-based, the Commercial Lead will drive this opportunity. He/she will provide commercial market access and operational/commercial leadership to the assigned Key Account Manager (KAM) and Medical Science Liaison (MSL), ensuring their performance against the set objectives.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide business unit development and leadership for a high performing KAM and MSL team for a group of countries.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and translate the corporate commercial plan and strategy into local country plans ensuring optimal profitability, and productivity.
  • Provide active help to ensure a smooth Market Access in the local markets
  • Translate the corporate marketing strategy into a local strategy
  • Supervise the KAM managers and KAM team and evaluate the KPI’s on a monthly basis of the KAM team
  • Act like the point of contact for the local markets and solves local issues and problems in an autonomous way respecting the strategic plan whilst reporting to the EU Sales Lead
  • Work closely with central marketing and sales, medical & market access peers to achieve sales and business objectives and to ensure the development of people.
  • Establish constructive relationships with KOL’s, key institutions, authorities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate transmission of representative and manager required data e.g. customer coverage/call data, time accountability data, etc.
  • Develop and monitor performance against regional budgets (sales, expenses…)
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of administrative requirements.
  • Establish and oversee regional implementation, and monitor adherence to administrative policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute regional and territorial business plans that includes customer identification and prioritization, competitive analysis, business success requirements and implementation plans, future trends, etc. Coordinate regional and national resources.
  • Participate as a member in the National, Area and Regional Business Planning process and S&OP process.


Requirements:

  • Life science degree (MD, MSc., PhD or equivalent), MD and PhD degrees preferred
  • Strong experience in international biopharmaceutical medical affairs
  • Experience as country, manager or business unit manager
  • Documented proven track record of leading high performing teams
  • Experience with First-In-Class launches and/or orphan drugs, or related diseases.
  • Excellent social and negotiation skills (formulary discussion)
  • Ability to interpret and assimilate scientific data, and thought leader development skills
  • Result driven personality, entrepreneurial mindset and capable to work independently
  • Familiar with CRM systems (Teams, Veeva, Salesforce.com, Cloud for Customers (C4C))
  • Bilingual English and German
  • Willingness to travel as it is a field-based role (50-70%)
