As German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum München pursues the goal of developing personalized medical approaches for the prevention and therapy of major common diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and lung diseases. To achieve this, it investigates the interaction of genetics, environmental factors and lifestyle.

Then the Enabling Technologies Center (EnTech) at the Helmholtz Zentrum Muenchen (HMGU) in Munich, Germany is the ideal environment for you!

HMGU is a central hub in the Munich science area promoting innovative approaches to understand, prevent, diagnose and treat major health challenges of our time. EnTech bundles the expertise of six different research institutes and two Core Facilities within the "Genes and Environment in Common Diseases“(GEnCoDe) program of the Helmholtz association. EnTech aims to shift health research from biological discovery to toolmaking and solutions to extinct major chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Lung diseases and Allergy.

The successful candidate will work closely with the topic director Prof. Ntziachristos, the heads of EnTech partner institutes and the executive management at the Helmholtz Zentrum Muenchen. To propel Enabling Technologies to the next level, we now seek a highly qualified and motivated

Operations Director (f/m) - Enabling Technologies

Job Description
Promotion of the EnTech concept to key stakeholders (communication, public awareness, lobbying)
- Broad fundraising activities (governmental, public and industry funding) within the Helmholtz fundraising strategy
- Development of strategic partnerships with national and European public bodies, key players in the global research landscape and for-profit enterprises
- Establishment and supervision of infrastructure
- Establishment and implementation of operational processes to accelerate EnTech deployment

Your Qualifications
Advanced degree in Business Administration, Applied Engineering, Life Sciences or similar disciplines
- Outstanding leadership skills, work ethics and intrinsic motivation
- Strong interest in research management
- Marketing experience and networking excellence
- Charismatic communication expert, with a proactive approach to external/internal communication and PR.
- Enthusiasm for promoting excellence and outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to lead and work as part of a team
- Experience with leading multifaceted projects and fund raising activities
- Fluent in written and spoken English and German
