You will manage a software development team maintaining and evolving highly available backend services to ensure the evolution and reliability of our products in a fast paced SaaS environment. Working with great talents in an agile environment, you are accountable for coordinating and realizing software solutions with highest demands on availability, scalability, performance and security.


In your role, you coordinate stakeholders and interface with developers, architects and managers of various engineering disciplines in several locations around the world on a daily basis.

  • lead, inspire and support an agile team of Java backend developers
  • maintain and evolve highly available backend services
  • balance stakeholders, set priorities and build timelines
  • ensure service quality, security and operability
  • drive engineering excellence
  • recruiting of engineering experts and students
  • technical, personal and employee career development, regular feedback and coaching

  • agile mindset and experience
  • several years of proven success as people manager in an agile environment
  • several years of experience in professional software industry
  • experience as a Product Owner and managing stakeholders
  • advocate for state-of-the-art quality engineering in terms of process & technology
  • SaaS & Java backend background preferred
  • fast learner, easily understand complex software & system design
  • structured, independent and solution oriented working style
  • highly communicative, supportive and cooperative
  • fluent English and German
