Position Overview

As Industry Marketing Manager, you will provide leadership and planning for marketing efforts in Europe, Middle East and Africa for strategic initiatives that support Autodesk’s civil infrastructure industry. Specifically, you will lead efforts to help determine the most effective activities to drive awareness, preference, and demand for Autodesk offerings among decision makers, influencers and buyer personas at infrastructure owner/operators and engineering firms that work on civil engineering projects. You will collaborate with your highly motivated peers in industry strategy, technical and product marketing to clearly position and message Autodesk’s products and services to excite and delight prospects in the civil infrastructure ecosystem.
Note: Native German, and English as a second language is essential for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Create market awareness through thought-leadership activities including articles, whitepapers, speaking engagements, sponsorships and involvement with key civil engineering associations
  • Leverages modern inbound marketing methods and platforms such as social media, community groups, marketing automation tools to drive and optimize prospect/customer engagement
  • Oversee creation and execution of the industry marketing plan, which will define which messages are to be communicated, target audiences, goals to be achieved, fit with other Autodesk marketing initiatives and communications programs to be executed, including timelines, program success metrics, and resources required
  • Conduct marketing research and studies on return on investment, business value propositions, customer success case studies and other benefits of the Autodesk portfolio for civil engineering
  • Create industry and persona relevant content for digital and traditional marketing channels
  • Define industry marketing goals and objectives for Civil Infrastructure industry segments
  • Collaborate with other product and industry teams on joint marketing initiatives
  • Direct and contribute to internal marketing materials and presentations to promote a common understanding of the industry strategy and vision at decision maker and c-suite levels. These may include internal web pages, white papers, c-suite sales kits, executive presentations, etc.
  • Provide vision, guidance with field marketing and corporate marketing to assure initiation and successful execution of awareness and preference generating activities, such as customer nurture programs, PR, events, executive councils, and industry analyst reviews
  • Ensure assimilation and application of industry specific marketing messages in customer facing marketing initiatives and sales facing readiness programs
  • Build relationships with and influence analysts and press to positively influence their perspective on Autodesk’s efforts in Civil Infrastructure
  • Provide marketing support to key accounts and partners

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Successful track record leading inbound marketing initiatives e.g. developing a new digital/social voice and executing with associated content, contact flow and online interactions
  • Familiarity with Marketing Automation Platforms e.g. Marketo capabilities to drive intelligent, automated customer interactions
  • Data driven marketer who uses market intelligence and analytics to measure and optimize marketing efforts and programs
  • Ability to work effectively in global virtual teams, and dispersed teams
  • Demonstrates initiative and is self-driven
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment where requirements shift to meet changing business needs
  • Proven success creating marketing plans and communications materials
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI
  • A team player who is willing to engage in both strategic and tactical work as business needs dictate
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Familiarity working with Architecture/Engineering/Construction firms or B2B software or SaaS based businesses required
  • Experience delivering inbound and/or content marketing initiatives required
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Business Administration or a relevant Marketing field


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn highly desirable
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role preferred
