Are you a marketing leader who is passionate about data, with a creative mind and strategic vision? Do you want to join a growing company that is on a mission to help people better understand their data? If you are customer focused, hands on marketing leader and you are looking for your next challenge – this could be the role for you. As Tableau’s Head of Marketing (m/f) for D-A-CH & EE, you will be responsible leading, developing and growing your team, as well as developing our marketing strategy for the territory and working with a broader team to execute marketing campaigns, events and online activities.  The ideal candidate for this role will be in a similar marketing role, working for a fast-paced software company.  You will also be a hands on leader, having developing and grown a team. You will also have a successful track record delivering a mix of marketing programs that target, and reach, new customers, expanding customer retention and revenue growth within our existing customer base in D-A-CH & Eastern Europe.    *LI-HS1

Some of the things you will be doing include…

  • Developing the marketing strategy for the region, and map this to the sales and division growth targets.
  • You will be the Tableau evangelist – presenting at Trade shows, Tableau events and Webinars
  • Speak to industry analysts and press and manage the PR function
  • Managing, mentoring and growing your team as we grow across the region
  • Leading the team involved in marketing campaign creation and E-mail marketing management, including audience segmentation, development and distribution of content, metrics and reporting; as well as growing our database by building and buying data.
  • You’ll be the liaison for the US based localization team on other languages (if required) for our website
  • Partnering with our Channel division to plan and develop partner marketing programs,
  • Assisting in the planning and management of our annual, primary customer conference
  • Developing Customer Advocacy program to rapidly build the customer asset base
  • Leveraging analytics tools – such as Tableau, Google Analytics to analyze site, campaign, and email traffic, and build and maintain KPI and closed loop marketing reports and dashboards
  • Working across the wider marketing teams - including Product Marketing, Marketing Programs, Business Systems, IT, and Sales -  to deploy effective campaigns
  • Staying abreast of marketing best practices and providing strategic  input on how to incrementally improve each one


What you’ll bring to the table..

  • Domain: You have a track record of delivering successful B2B marketing campaigns to support channel, enterprise and SMB accounts in the region within a Software/SaaS organisation
  • Experience: You are an experienced manager/leader and have been in a management role for at least 3-5 years. You’re also working in a fast paced software company
  • Conviction and Commitment.  Strategic marketer who is curious, passionate, inquisitive and proactive in terms of driving ideas and innovation.
  • Relentlessly High Standards. Detail-oriented and deadline-driven. Extremely organized and able to multitask, as well as simultaneously manage multiple programs.
  • Technically Savvy. Strong PC-based computer skills; proficient with MS Office Suite and demonstrated ability with HTML. Analytical - Tableau experience a plus. Eloqua (or similar)  and Salesforce experience highly desired
  • Excellent Communication. Strong written, verbal and visual communicator. Strong sense of accountability and ownership, an ability to manage your business and clearly communicate your results back to the organization. Excellent people skills especially working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Leader.  Ability to work in a cross-functional role and influence the direction and focus of projects outside of your immediate reporting structure.
