Main Purpose of the Role
You will be part of the Sales & Operational support business which is a newly formed team which is responsible for providing programmatic leadership in which you will be specifically focused on driving growth of our services businesses across our field branch business in Europe.
 
Under the direction of the Sales & Operations Director and working closely with the wider EMEALA Service Growth Dept. you will work with the country general managers and service branch managers to develop, implement, and monitor strategies and action plans focused on achieving above market growth and profitability in a sustainable manner,
You will drive KPI’s focused on customer retention- and margin improvements and improve productivity of field labour with effective planning & service tools.
 
What you will do
Design/Define & Implement action plans to grow our Service Business exponentially built on our long term Service Strategic Vision.
Indirectly coach & influence a team of Service professionals and provides day-to-day direction and input to the cross-functional team on priorities, objectives, processes and tasks.
Create and develop Go-To-Market plans for the different service lines of business in collaboration with the regional sales & operations director & marketing department
Define with local operational leadership the organizational design to ensure profitable growth
Standardize, expand and roll out service offerings to the market across the region prioritized based on growth potential and market segment focus
Work with local operational leadership to drive best in class execution and expansion of gross margin and optimization of G&A structure.
Standardizes tracking of and drives utilization/absorption metrics
Works with local leadership across the region to implement programs focused on hiring technicians workforce aligned with our overall growth strategy.
Implement IT platforms, & service tools to ensure our technician workforce is enabled to work effectively
Working in partnership with marketing dept. deliver the required sales training programs to enable our sales force to work effectively 
Implements Customer Satisfaction monitoring program across service
Promote the service organization at high business levels and develop customer partnerships and alliances.
Drive teamwork, culture, compliance and integrity
Key Performance Indicators
Financials: Volume Secured growth, Secured Gross Margin growth, Revenue Secured growth, Executed Gross Margin growth, productivity & recoveries
Achievement of business plans

 





Qualifications

 
How you will do it
Communication is key in this role so we will need you to maintain all lines of communication – up, down, across the business, segments and corporate to ensure understanding and ownership, you will also provide day to day direction and coaching to the cross functional team on priorities, objectives, processes and tasks. We will want you to deliver business goals set out within the KPI’s against common strategy to ensure continued business growth
 
Skills
Strong communication and people skills at all levels in a business.
Ability to combine strategic and tactical imperatives.
Ability to work in a matrix organization
A natural leader who puts time and energy into building senior management talent.
Fluency in English, plus other languages (German/French preferred).
Frequent international travel / relocation flexibility.
Compliance and driving the tone from the top, based on an ethical foundation are crucial for the role.
 
What we look for
Proven track record of successful sales management coupled with an awareness of improving cost base
You will have a strong leadership style with intrinsic motivation, positive charisma, a pro-active nature coupled with an understanding of business dynamics.
You will influence coach teams to create an environment that energizes team members and drives accountability
 
Minimum 10 years in  service industry & focused on business development / sales leadership or P&L responsibility within a service businesses.
Suitable candidates would be coming from within a blue chip company with technical & mechanical orientation like GEA, Carrier, Otis, Schneider, Siemens, Bosch, GE, Motorola, Honeywell, Trane, Telecom, perhaps Danfoss, Grundfos, etc.
Experiences in converging industries such as Building Automation, IT and Telecommunications will be also well suitable for the role.
The role requires management understanding along the entire value chain of design, build, operate, maintain and serve.
Extensive sales, operations and people management exposure.
Outstanding track record of achieving sustained profitable growth.
Experience of working in international organisations and within an international setting
Experience of working with US multinationals (preferred).
