Description

 

What you’ll be doing… 

As an Enterprise Sales Representative (m/f) you will work with assigned field Account Executives to promote and manage inside sales for Tableau’s Enterprise Accounts. You’ll manage the sales process throughout the sales cycle including prospecting, lead management, qualification, product demonstrations, evaluation, close and account care. This role is a teamed quota-carrying sales position that plays an integral role in the success of the overall sales team.

 

Some of the things you’ll be doing include …

  • Represent Tableau and its produce suite in enterprise accounts
  • Owning the full sales cycle from discovery to close for your set of accounts
  • Jointly define account sales plans with Tableau Account Executives to meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities within the assigned Enterprise Accounts
  • Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support and sales engineering
  • Manage and track customer and transactional information in a CRM system
  • Nurture and expand the company’s relationship within customer accounts
  • Provide initial product demonstrations and general support to prospective customers
  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff
  • Participate in teambuilding and companygrowth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care
  • Work effectively within a team environment to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment to develop and manage sales pipeline – prospect and assess new sales potential while moving a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline

 

Who you are…

  • Experienced.  You have at least one year of sales and/or lead qualification experience in a B2B environment, including outbound prospecting, quotas, transaction volume and activity levels (calls, demos, meetings, etc.).
  • If you carried your own sales goals in a large geographic territory, this would be a plus Experience with analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling or business intelligence is preferred.
  • Amazing Salesperson.  You want to take your career to the next level and have a desire, even an obsession, to bring / expand customers into the Tableau franchise and maximize revenue. You have demonstrated transactional sales experience including prospecting and assessing sales potential over the phone and web; moving a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline and closing them quickly.
  • Data Rock Star. Aptitude to become a master of Tableau’s product capabilities, underlying technology and competitive advantages. This requires the ability to become deeply fluent in the technology and the industry.
  • Missionary.  You “get it” and understand Tableau’s mission deeply in some way. You believe Tableau will become one of the most important technology companies in the world, you want to be a contributing member of a winning sales team, and you want to have fun all the way.
  • Domain.  As you will be working directly with Tableau’s most strategic accounts, prior account management experience is preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
