As a result of continuous growth in DACH, we are looking to hire Director, Enterprise Sales who will manage a growing team of senior field based Account Managers. This role is a brand new opportunity and will compliment existing sales leadership team enabling further growth in the region.

What you’ll be doing …LI-HS1

As Director, Enterprise Sales will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Account Managers driving sales and growth within Tableau’s most important and strategic customer accounts across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.The Director will help define strategies and account plans for growing revenue within these accounts, enterprise wide opportunities as well as small, departmental transactions. This person will grow Tableau’s business within these large accounts, including recruiting, training, forecasting, pipeline management, etc. Since much of Tableau’s growth will come from these large accounts, this position will be strategic and demand input to the management team with regards to product, marketing, sales, and operational requirements for building Enterprise business. 

Some of the things you’ll be doing include …

  • Define and execute sales plans and strategies for enterprise accounts, including specific account plans.
  • Quota responsibility for Large Account book of business to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Grow and manage team of field based Enterprise Account Managers
  • Develop and leverage channel partners for land & expand selling in to enterprise accounts.
  • Drive sales for strategic named account division, including mastering Tableau’s products, conducting presentations and hands-on demonstrations with the product, writing business proposals, quote preparation, evangelizing Tableau as a company and its products, negotiating terms and contracts, closing.
  • Strategic advisor to DACH Country Manager, providing ideas and input on the best ways to grow Tableau revenues through these strategic, large accounts.  Input will drive initiatives within multiple departments, including Sales, Marketing, Development, Customer Experience, and Operations.
  • Define organizational and territorial structure for future growth, planning to add headcount while managing top line revenue and cost of sales.
  • Ensure internal processes are followed, including team’s adherence to tracking customer and transactional information in CRM system and other sales and operational processes.  Define new processes to increase overall productivity.
  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff
  • Participate in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care
  • Travel to customer’s sites, partners and events throughout DACH in support of sales efforts, and to Tableau offices and events in the USA and elsewhere
  • Other duties as assigned

Who you are …

  • Experienced.  Extensive experience in enterprise software sales including both transactional sales and strategic selling experience.  Significant track record of managing sales teams.
  • Amazing Salesperson.  You have a desire, even an obsession, to bring new customers into the Tableau franchise and maximize revenue. You are a closer.
  • Leader.  Exceptional leadership skills: a strong recruiter and motivator of people.
  • Missionary.  Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in Tableau’s mission.
  • Go-Getter.  Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
  • Domain.  Experience with analytics, data, databases or business intelligence preferred.  Bachelor's Degree with a technical or business focus preferred.
  • Performer.  Consistent overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory.
