Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Manage the team, (manage results oriented, based on strong KPI’s follow up, drive team spirit, coordinate transversal activities, lead the organizational change, increase the skill level of work force, build a work force with flexible skills to meet changing product needs)

• Actively contribute to the professional growth of employees, identifying key players, proposing actions aimed at motivating key employees. Develop talents and future leaders across plants, regions and BUs.

• Direct and mentor staff of managers and leaders, provide feedback on performance and developmental planning using TE CMS and OLR systems

• Provide strong leadership to Value Stream Managers to ensure proper performance of duties and achievement of assigned objectives

• Actively remove road blocks for Value Stream managers to help in achieving their targets and goals, constantly challenging his/her organization to strive for improvements

• Establish and Continuously monitoring plant KPI´s and benchmark them with other plants, regions and market leaders to identify improvement opportunities relating to the automotive sensor supply chain

• Contributes to the TE Automotive Sensor manufacturing strategies and footprint roadmaps

• Has the overall responsibility for the Automotive Sensor manufacturing budgets and ensures these are in line with corporate, regional and BU guidelines

• Drive and ensure attainment of established materials and conversion productivity goals established. Utilize the broader TESS and, where applicable, Auto BU supply chain teams to help drive supplier performance and materials productivity, as well as a proper design of the end-to-end value stream

• Overall responsibility for ensuring quality policies required by customers are adhered to and increasing the plant quality performance s to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of products and services. Position will partner with the TESS and, where applicable, Auto BU quality leadership team and organization to help drive these areas.

• Overall responsibility to ensure proper man capacity planning and highest possible utilization of resources by ensuring continuous efficiency improvements and value stream level productivity improvements.

• Overall responsibility to ensure that assets utilized for Automotive Sensors have proper utilisation and maintenance of all manufacturing assets and properties

•             Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as all TE policies and procedures

• Work in alignment with senior management to address works council issues and management staff issues related with IR and compensation and benefits perspective

Requirement:

• B.S. degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering

• 6+ years experience in demonstrated process improvement success

• 5+ years experience in utilizing OpEx, SixSigma and Lean tools/methodologies

• 10+ years of management experience - Automotive industry preferred

• Strong analytical, strategic and tactical skills

• Problem solving attitude. Exceptional skill at organizing and prioritizing tasks

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong team formation and leadership skills

• Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization

• Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation

• Fast learner, able to quickly familiarize her/himself with existing methods and practices and new concepts/ideas

• Fluent in English both written and spoken

• Excellent skills, ability to interact with suppliers and customers
